I spent a couple of hours bolting together motorcycle parts this afternoon and this is what I came up with. I am delighted. It’s exactly the kind of thing I’ve been imagining when I think about the kind of custom bike I would build from scratch, down to the rubber boots on the forks and the black rear springs. Only thing I might change – aside from grinding off all the left-over fittings and brackets I’m never going to use – would be to get the handle bars powdercoated black instead of leaving them chrome. There’s a ton of work left, of course, but this frame is going to be a much better platform than the last one.
