I bought a new sewing machine.
The lasers I ordered for the laserfingers workshop arrived.
Yay.

Thats a lot like the one I bought my wife. She likes it a lot. It’s a good machine.
Daughter, who admires your jacket, bought two of the machines from her Fashion Design college. Commercial quality Pfaff’s (sp?) … big honking things but they should last a long time. She likes them so I guess that’s what counts.

Wow, my 40 year old Singer pales in comparison. Your “eye of the snake” machine looks like is has some good features. Does it have a removable arm?

I don’t know what a removable arm is. The feature that sold me is the automatic tensioner – it adjusts itself for the fabric you’re using. It has the same threading setup as the machines I used in the sewing class last fall, so it feels familiar – it’s not as complicated as the big steel machine I’ve been trying to use recently. It also has a really slick button-hole system.

Can you please put titles on your posts? Now that you have RSS, play by the rules… :-P

A removable free arm is something that you take off if you are trying to get to such items as pants legs, sleeves and other circular items. From the picture, it looks like you have one but not 100% positive. They are great to have.

Oh, is that what that’s called? Yes, it has one. Definitely like this machine so far.
